Our ambition is based on three key drivers: being Purpose-Led, Value-Driven, and Future-Fit.ABOUT MBSMBS, Unilever’s Marketing and Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT; supporting the business requirements of the 5 BG´s to drive 4G growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever’s LH Strategy. The team manages an annual spend of ~9B Euro with a supplier base of about 40,000. Within MBS, the Field Force Assistant Sourcing Manager is responsible for the Portfolio E2E for all Markets as per scope in LATAM (role will be re-scoped after Productivity Plan implementation).The Assistant Manager will work together with our Mktg BG´s teams functions to increase awareness, brand building & propensity to purchase via strategic alliances with specific suppliers providing unique benefits and assets to accelerate growth. He/she needs to focus on developing strategic alliances with FF suppliers to increase and stand out our presence in the marketplace.The role will foster and build a culture of collaboration and agility to enable an efficient project development and implementation, including benchmarking for different activities worldwide. It will ensure close alignment in strategy with Marketing and CSP functions, MBS BG´s FF Team by defining and utilizing a robust support network for the whole team and providing clarity on the ways of working, roles and responsibilities.Key Accountabilities:(Please describe the responsibilities and end results that would be expected.)
- Understand the business needs related to BG & FF portfolio ; translate the business requirements regarding the Markets in scope by working very closely with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and BG Strategy Lead.
- Develop & connect strategy with the BG/BU FF team, aligned with Unilever LH Strategy, Procurement with Purpose and Productivity Plan principles.
- Work together with BU Stakeholders functions (Brand Building / CSP, Finance & Legal) execute the sourcing strategies, operating models, and supplier relationships that help drive 4G growth in accordance with our plans, including a focus on Responsible Sourcing strategies.
- Deliver against financial targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) as per business plan objectives, accountable for delivery of results from all markets, BU´s & BG´s.
- Implement Unilever LH Strategy, having the most accurate balance of global and local suppliers.
- Liaise with BU´s stakeholders, to support business, market, MBS and Procurement priorities and enable rapid alignment and deployment
- Lead rigorous execution of the priorities and transformation initiatives across the Markets E2E, look for development opportunities. synergies between global/regional design and local execution, consolidation, and transformational commercials.
- Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e., contract management, assets creation, data consistency, recurring stakeholder communications, quality processes, RSP etc.) are all put in place for Markets in scope
- Future proof the portfolio for the Markets by driving digital approaches, while building assets / relationships enablers to help manage selected portfolio and scope.
- Support internal performance management and reporting including creation and stewardship of relevant key performance indicators
Experience Required: (Please detail essential and desirable experience, including no. of years.)Qualification/experience
- 2-5 years of procurement (direct or indirect).
- Experience in managing complex portfolio/category, at multi-regional/global level is desired.
- Good at negotiation, assets creation and contracting.
- Understanding of supply market, value-chain, and FMCG knowledge.
- Experience in strategic supplier relationship management
- Experience on large-scale project management is plus.
