Job Summary:

The Management Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a faculty position in OB/HR/Management at our main campus in Oxford, Mississippi. This is a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2027, and is open for the rank of Assistant Professor of Management.

Job Description:

Duties: Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate, MBA, and/or doctoral-level courses in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and related areas consistent with the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. Successful applicants are expected to maintain an active research agenda with the potential to publish in high-quality scholarly journals, and to provide service to the university and the profession. The normal teaching load for a research-active faculty member is 2/2 (6 credit hours per semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach intersession, summer courses and/or online courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability.

Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, the applicant must have an earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion prior to August 2027) in Management or a related discipline. Applicants should possess a track record of original research and publication in elite management journals and must demonstrate a commitment to world-class scholarship, effective teaching, and service.
