Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a minimum workload equivalent to four 3-credit courses (12 contact hours) each semester (Fall and Spring), in person, but may be a maximum of 28 contact hours total across the two semesters when labs are included.
- Advise up to 25 students.
- Attend department, school, and college meetings.
- Participate in accreditation and assessment processes.
- Engage in professional development, scholarship, research, and/or publishing.
- Assist in curriculum development.
- Participate in department, school, and college service.
- Maintain and post regular office hours.
- Perform other duties as required and as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Ph.D. in the engineering field, candidates with Civil/Environmental, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or interdisciplinary degrees are encouraged to apply.
- Evidence of professional experience and/or ongoing scholarly activities (research, publications, presentations, PE licensure, etc.) that enhance teaching and deepen knowledge base in subject areas, and can involve students.
- College-level teaching experience, with evidence of innovative methodologies in the classroom and laboratory.
- Experience with ABET accreditation is valued.
- Desire to work in a student-centered, teaching-oriented institution.
