How you’ll do it:

As the Assistant Processing Manager, you will work directly with the team members to ensure efficiency, quality, timely closing of mortgage loans while following Cascade’s Commitment to Service policy.  The role will require the flexibility and the ability to handle both training of new processors and manager responsibilities outlined below based on the need of the department.  The Assistant Processing Manager is responsible for reporting the progress or deficiencies of the teams to the Processing Manager.


Training Responsibilities:

  • Working with management team to enhance and develop an effective and scalable training program with accompanying resources for new loan processors.
  • Lead training classes utilizing a variety of adult learning techniques to ensure engagement and success of trainees.
  • Provide weekly evaluations of each team members progress (or lack thereof) to management.
  • Conduct regular 1x1’s with trainees to provide individual progress report and assessment.
  • Onboarding New Team Members
    • Provide a clean transition between HR onboarding and training.
    • Assist new processors with setting up usernames, passwords, computer shortcuts, locating logs and folders, etc.
  • Reviewing all loans for new Processors utilizing training trackers for each loan
  • Maintaining and Updating the Progress Board for new Processors as they move through the phased training providing complete transparency to trainees.
  • Reviewing, Determining, and reporting when new Processors are ready to be released through each phase by evaluating the training trackers with the Management Team

 

Management Responsibilities:

  • Actively Monitor and Manage Team Pipelines
    • Ensure published SLAs and benchmarks are met.
    • Ensure dashboards are current and files are progressing.
    • Monitor aged and expiring loans.
    • Reduce turn times between each milestone according to set goals.
  • Manage vacation calendar, timecards, anniversary dates.
  • Respond to daily processor scenario questions and escalate to processing manager when necessary.
  • Provide focused training and support to increase production numbers at individual processor level.
  • Complete weekly follow ups with team members on improvement plans
  • Recommend process changes and create tickets to improve efficiency.
  • UAT point of contact for processing department.
  • First level customer complaint
  • Assist in covering pipelines while processors are out of the office.
  • Other duties as necessary


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years processing experience
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding department goals
  • Proficient in using and understanding mortgage guidelines.
  • Understandings and can implement adult learning techniques.
  • Enjoys and has proven successful at training other team members.
  • Regardless of title, has shown leadership qualities.
  • Recent working knowledge of Encompass
  • Experience working on teams and delegating or managing shared responsibilities.
  • Ability to work under stressful deadlines and to manage/execute competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and team building skills.
  • Excellent listening and time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Manufactured Housing knowledge a plus
