Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
- Help prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and purchase orders (POs).
- Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery schedules.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and distribute procurement reports to senior procurement managers and project teams to provide updates on procurement status, costs, and issues.
- Assist in tracking procurement expenses and variances against budgeted amounts.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment for ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of procured items.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory management policies.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Assist in the review and approval of supplier quality assurance plans to ensure materials and equipment meet project specifications.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality and performance standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of procurement activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and advancements in procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with procurement and inventory management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
