POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Marina Manager is responsible for supporting the Marina Manager in overseeing daily marina operations and ensuring that the facility runs smoothly. This role involves assisting with managing staff, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining operational standards. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Duties 

Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the marina to ensure efficiency and adherence to established procedures.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty, enhance referrals, and positively impact the marina’s reputation.

Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of marina facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers.

Work with Marina Manager to ensure employees are being effectively managed and coached on a daily basis to maximize productivity and morale

Promote teamwork by supporting, coaching, and working collaboratively with all team members and departments to ensure a seamless experience for customers throughout the sale, storage, delivery, and servicing of boats.

Assist in achieving storage sales and profit goals. Work with the sales and service departments to facilitate seamless service and enhance customer satisfaction.

Address and resolve any operational or customer service issues that arise, escalating to the Marina Manager as needed.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of marina operations and services.

Works with Marina Manager to ensure the marina develops and efficiently and effectively processes all invoices

  • Ability to oversee daily marina operations, including scheduling, facility management, and maintenance.
  • Strong skills in providing exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, and resolving issues effectively.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and efficiently
  • Ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or disputes effectively, both internally with staff and externally with customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED (or currently enrolled)
  • Leadership experience, preferably in a marina or similar setting.
  • Familiarity with marina operations, including boat handling, storage, maintenance, and facility management.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality customer service and managing customer relationships.
