We are looking to employ a highly driven Internal Sales Assistant Manager to assist the Internal Sales Directors with the day-to-day running of the Corebridge Financial Sales Desks in order to execute on a corporate sales plan.
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee an internal sales team who facilitate and support sales through relationship building with financial professionals within broker dealers, banks and wire houses as well as independent insurance agencies.
The responsibilities of an Assistant Manager include coaching, mentoring, training, and managing to key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous improved performance both individually and as a team. You will use independent judgment to direct staff in making appropriate decisions.
You will be coaching your team to grow sales through identifying and fostering leads generated from referrals, intermediaries, and proactive outbound calls. You will be responsible for listening to calls for quality, consistency, sales opportunities and managing through escalated issues as a subject matter expert.
In addition, the Assistant Manager will provide strategic process improvement ideas to the Directors to achieve short- and long-term department objectives. You will be expected to run daily, weekly, and monthly pending pipeline reports to analyze projected sales and trends. This is a multi-faceted role that understands not only sales, but also uses analytical skills to detect service gaps and opportunities.
What we are looking for:
- 3-5+ years Internal Wholesaling experience and prior sales management experience preferred. Experience working with and around teams of co-workers.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Teams. Salesforce.com experience desired plus knowledge of annuity Illustration system preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to stand and deliver presentations.
- Experience working in a high-volume phone intensive environment.
- Able to prioritize work and creatively solve problems.
- Knowledge of variable, indexed and fixed annuity products.
- Willing to work in a designated Corebridge office and drive a collaborative team spirited work environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- FINRA 6, 63, 26 and Life and Health Licenses. [Supervisory Principal FINRA 26 License may be obtained within one month of hire. ]
- CRPC or other industry designation preferred.
Travel 25%
Assistant manager may be required to travel to territory meetings, other Corebridge offices and as needed.
