Job Title: Assistant Manager, Finance

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Closing

  1. Prepare and review accounting journal entries in SAP and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and prepare related supporting documentation.
  3. Assist in preparing financial statements, including the Balance Sheet (B/S), Profit and Loss Statement (P/L), and Cash Flow Statement (C/F).
  4. Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) balances and coordinate reconciliation and settlement activities with relevant departments.
  5. Review accounting entries and account balances related to fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, leases, and borrowings.
  6. Prepare accounting documentation and support external financial audits and tax filings.

Treasury & Banking

  1. Review daily cash position reports and weekly cash flow reports.
  2. Monitor bank accounts and deposit balances and reconcile bank transactions with SAP accounting records.
  3. Support the review and reconciliation of fund disbursements, bank transfers, and corporate credit card transactions.
  4. Maintain records of short-term and long-term borrowings, interest expenses, and debt repayment schedules.
  5. Prepare financial documentation required for bank loan reviews, credit evaluations, and other requests from financial institutions.
  6. Support routine communication and documentation submissions to banks and other financial institutions.

Budget & Business Planning

  1. Prepare supporting financial data and documentation for annual business planning and budgeting.
  2. Monitor departmental Operating Expenditure (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and actual spending.
  3. Analyze budget-to-actual variances and report key reasons for significant deviations.
  4. Track capital expenditures and prepare supporting information for investment planning and financial feasibility analysis.
  5. Collect and analyze financial data to support sales, expense, and profitability forecasts.

Cost & Profitability Analysis

  1. Analyze monthly sales revenue, cost of goods sold, manufacturing expenses, and selling, general and administrative (SG&A) expenses.
  2. Perform profitability variance analysis against business plans and identify key factors driving financial performance.
  3. Analyze changes in major cost components, including material costs, labor costs, and manufacturing overhead.
  4. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other relevant departments to validate cost and inventory-related financial data.
  5. Consolidate departmental cost-saving results and evaluate the financial impact of cost-reduction initiatives.
  6. Prepare profitability and expense analysis reports for management review.

Financial Reporting & Internal Control

  1. Prepare periodic financial reports for the Korean headquarters and management of the U.S. entity.
  2. Verify the accuracy of financial information and review significant accounts for unusual transactions and accounting errors.
  3. Support compliance with company policies, internal controls, and established approval procedures for accounting, expenditures, and payment transactions.
  4. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operating procedures and assist in implementing process improvements.
  5. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant professional experience in finance or accounting.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis.
  • Experience using SAP or a comparable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both Korean and English in a professional business environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing or automotive parts company.
  • Experience in cost accounting, budget management, or profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Experience supporting banking relationships, financial institution requests, or external audits.
