ROLE PURPOSE 

As the Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing, you will support the development and execution of digital plans to elevate Aesop’s profile as a top luxury brand, with a focus on increasing awareness and brand equity. You will be responsible for the expression of the brand across Digital Marketing channels. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the luxury market, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a proven track record of successfully managing digital campaigns across a variety of digital channels. 

 

This role requires a critical thinker with high technical knowledge of digital platforms and a strong ability to think outside the box to ensure Aesop retains its distinct brand identity across all digital consumer touchpoints. 

  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Plan Development and Execution 

  • Support the development and execution of digital brand plans to align with regional business objectives. 

  • Work with the Senior Ecommerce Manager to integrate digital initiatives seamlessly and increase qualified omnichannel traffic and support conversion efforts. 

  • Ensure regional digital initiatives are aligned with Ecommerce commercial objectives and calendar planning. 

 

Paid Media Management and Partnerships 

  • Support the paid media planning in the region, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives by category and by channel. 

  • Assist in developing and evaluating paid media plans across digital platforms to drive brand visibility and conversions. 

  • Work with the global media team, agency partners, and L’Oréal media teams to optimize paid campaigns and ensure efficient use of advertising budget. 

  • Provide regional consumer intelligence, competitive examples, and business performance to key stakeholders to build market-relevant plans. 

  • Actively seek out relevant and on-brand affiliate partners to elevate brand profile and find creative ways to activate those partnerships. 

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of paid media KPIs and be responsible for sharing performance metrics internally. 

 

Content Curation 

  • Support the development of local digital paid strategy in partnership with global marketing, creative, and media counterparts. 

  • Brief global creative and media teams to develop compelling digital content that is optimized by channel and reflects the brand's luxury identity. 

  • Curate and manage content calendars to maintain a consistent brand narrative across all digital platforms. 

 

Digital Cross-Functional Relationships 

  • Partner closely with customer care, ecommerce, and marketing teams to ensure all channels are aligned in terms of priorities, messaging, and offers. 

  • Reflect those priorities, messaging, and offers in paid media whenever relevant. 

  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform digital strategy and optimize campaign performance. 

 

Performance Analytics & Budget Planning 

  • Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns and provide insights for continuous improvement. 

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI to optimize plans and drive business results. 

  • Work with Ecommerce Manager to manage budgets and adjust phasing as needed. 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on Luxury, Beauty, or Skincare brands. 

  • Extensive experience working across digital channels, including Paid Social, Paid Search, Display, Affiliate Marketing, and SEO/SEM. 

  • Proven success in developing and implementing digital plans that drive engagement and sales. 

  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and reporting capabilities. 

  • Experience in managing paid media campaigns. 

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and aesthetics. 

 

What's On Offer 

The salary for this position is $85,000-90,000
