Family Service Association is seeking an experienced candidate for a part time (30) hour per week Assistant Junior Site Coordinator role in our Afterschool Daycare Program. The position is a split shift from 7:15 am - 9 am & 2 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday w/ flexible administrative hours in between.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support supervision of children and maintain a safe, well-managed program environment at all times.
- Engage with children through activities, conversation, and daily interactions to support participation and positive relationships
- Assist in planning and implementing daily program activities
- Support staff in completing lesson plans and program expectations
- Monitor the site for safety concerns and communicate needs to Junior Site Coordinator.
- Help maintain organized program spaces, materials and equipment
- Assist with program documentation, including staff timesheets, progress reports, and all other required documentation.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Support implantation of EEC and agency policies and procedures
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with children, families, staff and community partners.
- Assist with transportation coordination and daily staffing needs.
- Step into site leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Site Coordinator
Education and Experience:
- An Assistant Junior Site Coordinator shall be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following requirements.
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree; and have 3 months experience working with School Age children.
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent; and have six months experience working with School Aged children including 3 months of supervised experience at a School Age child care program.
- Have 9 months experience with School Aged children including 3 months of supervised experience at a School Age child care program.

Skills Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree plus 3 months experience working with school-age children.
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus six months experience working with school-age children, including 3 months supervised experience at a school-age child care program.
- Nine months experience with school-age children, including 3 months supervised experience at a school-age child care program.
- Ability to work split shift schedule (7:15–9:00 AM and 2:00–5:30 PM Monday–Friday) and approximately 30 hours per week.
- Ability to step into site leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Site Coordinator and perform transportation coordination and program documentation.
