Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team at Constance Halaveli, Maldives. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to support the management of our food and beverage operations within our luxury resort environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the F&B Manager and wider hospitality team to ensure exceptional service standards, efficient operations, and outstanding guest experiences across all dining venues and functions.

  • Assist in the day-to-day management and supervision of food and beverage operations across multiple outlets and venues
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management to maintain high service standards and team morale
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering procedures to minimise wastage and control costs effectively
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
  • Maintain Point of Sale (POS) systems and manage billing procedures with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, kitchens, and storage facilities to uphold cleanliness and operational standards
  • Support the planning and execution of special events, functions, and themed dining experiences
  • Liaise between front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain detailed records of sales, costs, and operational metrics for reporting purposes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of F&B policies and procedures
  • Assist in menu planning and cost analysis to optimise profitability

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food and beverage operations management or similar hospitality role (minimum 2–3 years)
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, service standards, and dining protocols
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and team leadership
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and hospitality management software
  • Excellent understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene compliance requirements
  • Strong organisational and time-keeping skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional people skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Outstanding customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are desirable
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required in a resort setting
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control procedures
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: Experience working in a luxury resort or island destination

Skills Required
