Chase City Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This key leadership position works closely with the Director of Nursing to support clinical excellence, develop nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote exceptional resident outcomes.
Position Summary
- The Assistant Director of Nursing collaborates with the Director of Nursing to maximize the performance and satisfaction of the nursing department and foster a positive, collaborative, and resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct clinical rounds and evaluate resident care needs.
- Supervise, coach, evaluate, recruit, hire, and onboard nursing staff.
- Coordinate orientation, staff education, QAPI, and infection prevention activities.
- Investigate incidents and concerns in accordance with regulations.
- Review staffing, medication records, treatment records, and care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy, pharmacy, residents, and families.
- Assume DON responsibilities in the DON’s absence.

- Current Virginia RN license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Previous long-term care leadership experience preferred.
