The University seeks a high-calibre and experienced leader to advance its global education and cultivate meaningful global partnerships. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping and advancing strategy, leading complex cross-unit programmes, and delivering high-impact initiatives that enhance student learning and institutional reputation.
Reporting to the Director of the International Office, the ideal candidate will bring well-rounded knowledge and skill sets to drive strategic planning, policy alignment, and the end-to-end execution of major global initiatives, achieving core institutional-level objectives.
Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of INTL in overseeing all functions, with a primary focus on Global Partnerships and Education;
  • Provide strategic leadership in the planning, implementation, and continuous enhancement of global education initiatives, ensuring impactful and best student learning experiences;
  • Drive the execution of the University’s internationalisation strategy, aligning global initiatives with institutional priorities and evolving global higher education trends;
  • Monitor and analyse global developments in higher education to inform strategic decision-making and the design of innovative educational initiatives and partnerships;
  • Identify, assess, and develop new international markets and partnership opportunities to expand the University’s global presence and reputation;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders of key global stakeholders;
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive campus culture, and develop initiatives to support intercultural awareness and integration among students;
  • Represent the University at international conferences, forums, and high-level engagements to enhance institutional visibility and influence;
  • Oversee the development and delivery of international marketing and communication strategies.
  • Lead a professional team, fostering a high-performance culture, leadership capability, and cross-cultural competence; and
  • Prepare high-level reports, proposals and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A recognised university degree, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional and managerial experience;
  • Outstanding command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Sound judgement, intellectual curiosity, and a track record of innovation and problem-solving; 
  • High cultural intelligence, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion;
  • A solid understanding of the global higher education landscape is a definite advantage; and
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and give a presentation.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years.  Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
