Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your accounting and financial skills to drive meaningful change in an organization?  Are you looking to be part of a supportive and collaborative community?  The University of Notre Dame seeks to attract, develop, and retain the highest quality faculty, staff and administration.  Notre Dame Law School is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to provide financial oversight and management.

The Assistant Director of Finance provides support to the Sr. Executive Director in managing the strategic, financial and operational objectives of the Dean of the Law School. They provide budget oversight and operational and technical support to the Senior Executive Director of Operations and Finance. The Assistant Director reviews monthly financial transactions for accuracy, compliance and policy adherence. This role is responsible for annual budget forecasting and analysis for Law School departmental and program funds, and approves all University credit card monthly statement reports and expense reimbursement reports. This role is designed for someone seeking greater responsibilities and exposure to senior leadership within an organization.

 

Qualifications

  • Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
  • Degree Qualifications: Business, Accounting or relevant experience
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years
  • Skill Qualifications: - Accounting acumen and analytical skills - Continuous learner - Keen attention to detail and highly organized - Able to work independently on assigned tasks - Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information - Comfortable working with data and technology - Values consistent with the mission of the University - Team Player; willingness to volunteer to help others

Pay range: $70,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience
