Job Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager in managing the accounting operations, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in month-end and year-end close process.

Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

Support budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

Research technical accounting issues for compliance with GAAP and internal policies

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Evaluate, record, and report violations of controlled processes to management for proper correction.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial operations

Assist in training and development of accounting staff

Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred

5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
-
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
-
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
