CIMIC Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Contracts Administrator to manage project cost control, collate financial reports and provide procurement support, as well as assisting with the management of subcontracts.
About the Role
Manage project cost control, revenue management, forecasting and general project financial administration requirements, assist in preparations and negotiate with sub-contractors for the calling of quotations and letting of contracts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the collation of financial report requirements.
Managing re-charge accounts through project required programmes (e.g. Virtual Superintendent, JDE), reconciling financial data, providing supporting documentation for approvals, dispute management and invoicing.
Assisting in managing the procurement of externally hired assets; including reconciling financial data, reviewing invoices for approval.
Executing external hire agreements, service contracts and plant hire agreements.
Assisting in the management of subcontracts and variations.
Assisting in cost reporting, procurement support and subcontractor forecasting.
Operating and maintaining commercial and contract systems including JDE.
Assisting in cost forecasting for allocation of subcontracts and ensuring cost codes are accurately maintained, keeping project management teams abreast of any cost issues immediately upon identification.
Assessing commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects and identify and implement controls.
Ensuring all activities comply with legal, professional and ethical standards.

About You – Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Tertiary (Bachelor) degree in Engineering, Commerce, Accounting, Business, Law or associated disciplines preferable
Contracts/procurement experience
Experience within the construction, mining & resources, rail, transport, or engineering industries (project experience) preferable
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Knowledge of commercial, compliance and reporting procedures and processes including Project Cost Reporting (PCR) and Asset Register
Knowledge of records management procedures and record, register and version control
Experience in reporting on contract and commercial performance and compliance
Skills Required
