What you'll do
You’ll be assisting our relationship bankers, who own a portfolio of clients, in the smooth running of their portfolios, supporting them to deliver the best solutions for their customers. Through customer referrals, you’ll help them to achieve business wins, adding value to our existing customer relationships and helping to attract new ones. Along with this, you’ll be a point of contact for employees and customers to help them with their issues and queries, making sure you always going the extra mile and striving to exceed their expectations.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Effectively using tools for contact and strategy planning in order to identify and meet customer needs
- Supporting the Relationship Management team in maintaining and developing working relationships with stakeholders in the bank
- Providing our customers with products and services that are appropriate for their needs
- Learning the skills required to be a Commercial Relationship Director, where this role is a key part of our local succession strategy
The skills you'll need
Delivering excellent customer service will be a key part of your role, so you’ll need to have the ability to meet your customer deadlines and exceed their expectations. You’ll need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to use thought leadership to bring knowledge and insight to the customer.
As part of this role, you’ll also be working towards an externally recognised qualification that will help you deliver an outstanding service to our customers.
Along with this, you’ll need:
- The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Good networking skills
- The ability to prepare high quality pitch documents
- Excellent team working and organisational skills
