Assistant, Cashiering Compliance & POS Management

POSITION SUMMARY:    

• The Assistant is responsible for : 
• Assisting the superior in inputting and maintaining the menus in the Micros Point of Sale System for all outlets.  
• Assisting the superior setting up Micros cards for all users and updating access as required.  
• Assist the superior in updating the cashiering manual in both English and Chinese.  
• Assist the superior in POS cashier training & monitoring
• Assist the superior to establish & monitor of POS cashier procedures for daily balancing, banking & reporting.
• Carry out cashier audit

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:    

• Assist Superior in Training for all outlets’ cashiers on POS, cash handling, balancing, banking and daily reporting procedures
• Set up menus on POS and ensure pricing is accurate
• Monitor cashier POS activity and highlight suspicious trends to management 
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data stored in Micros 
• Issue new Micros cards or update access levels as required
• Provide operational support to the outlets on Micros system
• Maintain & ensure the operation procedure are accomplished by outlets
• Support the F&B Administration and Financial Accounting Teams with the timely and accurate provision of reports on both a regular and ad hoc basis

• Accuracy of POS data
• Competency of F&B cashiers in using the POS system
• Quality of analysis to identify suspicious cashier activity

QUALIFICATIONS:    

Experience

• Experience with Point of Sales system preferred

Education

• Bachelor Degree
• Knowledge of Chinese word processing preferred

Skills / Competencies 

• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite products 
• Front of house operational experience using Micros in a previous role would be highly regarded 
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin is preferred 
• Capable in translating between English and Chinese.
