The role:
Your primary role is to support the Brand Manager, Haircare to help profitably grow the John Frieda® brand. Reporting to the Brand Manager, Haircare, you will work with all aspects of brand management including innovation & commercialization and brand communications. An important aspect of this role is keep a pulse on category, brand and competitive performance and understanding latest trends to help ensure brand relevancy and competitor advantage.
This is a full-time, 14-month maternity-leave coverage position, with potential to extend to 18 months. Kao Canada Employees work remotely with occasional travel for in-person meetings within the GTA. We offer a salary of $60,000 - $78,000.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Brand Manager to plan, develop and implement the marketing plan ensuring the proper deployment of marketing budget and on-time delivery of activations.
- Be a key liaison with Legal & Regulatory teams for the approval of marketing materials
- Be a key liaison with translation house for all brand related content
- Assume lead responsibility at cross-functional consensus meetings
- Analyze brand, market and competitive trends with primary responsibility of monthly brand scorecards
- With direction from the Brand Manager, lead packaging copy localization
- Manage owned channels (brand website); reporting & optimization
- Manage Social Media channel organic content calendar, posting, and budget including reporting & optimization
- Lead influencer campaigns, ensuring alignment with the brand manager on creator selections, briefing, and content feedback to produce highly effective influencer partnerships.
- Manage consumer review generation for all new product launches across brands
- Assist the Associate Director of Marketing and the marketing team, as needed with various marketing tasks, which can include sample room inventory, product sample orders, annual sales meeting preparation, etc.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience in consumer marketing OR a Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, MBA or related field is required
- Previous experience in the Canadian CPG industry, experience in beauty or personal care industry
- Digital & social media marketer with an understanding of influencer partnerships
- Project management, time management and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Nielsen
