Assistant Billing
Job Description
Overview of Position:
The Billing Assistant role will provide Billing activity in support of Speedcast’s Finance Department. The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Capacity to identify obstacles in billing process, conduct autonomous follow up and bring up unsolved issues to line management.
What you will do:
- Run and distribute prebills,
- Set up billing information sheets in Excel,
- Review prebills for accuracy and compliance with the Billing guidelines,
- Process and finalize client invoices,
- Mail/scan/end bill final invoices to clients,
- Prepare expense backup to customer invoices,
- Send out AR reports on a monthly
- Perform monthly, closing, and balancing
- Respond to inquiries from attorneys, staff and clients.
- Review monthly reports printed.
- Make arithmetic calculations and check various statistical and accounting tables and reports as required.
- Maintain billing file/records established by police and procedures.
What we need from you:
- Outstanding communication skills,
- Excellent organizational skills,
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently,
- Ability to handle a large volume of Billing from initial matter intake through final Bill production and submission
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multi-functions.
- Some knowledge of bookkeeping and office functions.
- One year experience in handling billing and account receivables in a similar set up or related field.
- Some training or background in Protheus (optional)
- Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
