Production Operative
We have a very exciting opportunity for a Technical Operator to join our Group Innovation Technical Operations team, based in our Group Innovation centre in Redditch.
About the role
The Technical Operator will be responsible for supporting the Sprint team with the safe operation of equipment to meet our Innovation Group production demands.
As the successful candidate you will ensure work is completed safely according to company and legislative standards to the required quality and workmanship in the time allotted.
You will manage daily progress of scheduled work, and escalation of any additional work identified with key stakeholders to support the prioritisation and decision-making process.
You will be responsible for meeting production schedules whilst improving and maintaining standards within Environment, Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste, Communication and Continuous Improvement. You will support the site Management Team in the delivery of key objectives and performance targets.
The focus is to deliver world-class Service in a fast-paced environment to delight the customer and grow our business. To continually develop an environment that promotes constructive innovation and engagement for the Sprint function; key to the success and continued improvement of site operations.
Key responsibilities:

Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with the company health, safety and environmental policies.

Effective communications between your line manager and other operatives.

Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with training and record appropriately.

Report all safety incidents promptly

Assist in the goal, to Redefine Packaging for a Changing World

Comply with all company policies and procedures

Engage within a strong teamwork culture.

Supporting with project specific test plan development
-
Testing batches of samples using relevant laboratory equipment

Recording, writing up and analysing data and observations from testing
-
Liaising with R&D lab team to aid technical development of Innovation projects

Liaising with the Product Development team to move projects through the project pipeline

Ownership/reduction of processing issues

Involvement in maintaining or improving performance and understanding the joint responsibilities for the performance and quality of the product.
About you

Good demonstratable knowledge/experience of machine operation in a production environment
-
Good communication skills
-
A strong health and safety first mindset
-
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

FLT Licence would be positive but not essential
