Assistant Accountant Own the numbers. Drive accuracy. Grow with the team.
Are you a numbers person who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and keeping the financial engine running smoothly? We’re looking for a sharp, reliable Assistant Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in ensuring every invoice, reconciliation, and journal entry is handled with accuracy and speed.
This is not a back-office admin role — it’s a hands-on position where your work directly supports the company’s financial health, helps other departments stay on track, and gives you real exposure to creditors, general ledger, and stock processes.
- Review and approve creditor invoices and payments in line with the Finance Policy and delegation of authority
- Own the timely and accurate reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Capture stock invoices and process journal entries to the general ledger
- Handle internal and external queries and complaints with professionalism and speed
- Liaise across departments to resolve reconciliation issues and keep everything moving
- Maintain clean, organised files, reports, and documentation
- Step in to support junior team members and similar roles when needed
- Take on ad-hoc finance tasks as directed by management
You’ll be the person who makes sure creditors are paid correctly and on time, reconciliations hit the deadline every month, and the numbers the business relies on are solid.
