About the teamFinance, APAC
Finance team plays a critical role in supporting GBG’s strategic goals through effective financial planning, analysis and control. You’ll be joining a collaborative and dynamic team that values accuracy, transparency and continuous improvement. The RoleAssistant Accountant
As an Assistant Accountant, the key responsibilities include assisting with daily accounting tasks, preparing journal entries, payroll computation, supporting month-end closing and maintaining accurate financial records. We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, organized, independent and eager to learn.
What you will do- Processing and allocation of overhead costs including payroll journals
- Process of purchase invoices through the Medius system to ensure that invoices are processed and paid on a timely basis
- Process of sales invoices.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify and recommend improvements to finance operations processes and procedures
- A trainee/part-qualified accountant.
- Someone who is confident and self-motivated with a true passion for this type of role.
- The ability to autonomously plan your workload and focus on the right priorities
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal departments to resolve any queries
- Good computer literacy skills – particularly Excel
- A highly motivated individual, that brings energy and confidence, that is target driven and able to work as part of a team
- You will be able to demonstrate a positive, engaging, hard-working approach and exhibit the company values
- Someone who seeks to maximise opportunities; i.e. challenges ways of working, sets and adopts regional practices, seeks and provides information and clarification.
