Position Title: Assistant Account Executive

About the Position:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Account Executive position will be a self-motivated and goal- oriented individual who is looking to grow with a company.  

The Assistant Account Executive will be responsible for supporting the Account Executive in handling a broad range of daily activities.  In addition to supporting the AE with their renewals, a successful candidate will also handle multiple levels of interactions with our partners.  Experience in the insurance industry is encouraged, but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review and forward policies, endorsements and other documents

  • Handle incoming calls and emails from retail agents and carriers

  • Processing change requests, binders and other service items

  • Billing of endorsements, renewals, and new business

  • Assisting Account Executive in documenting files and maintaining internal reports

  • Ordering loss runs and ensuring that they are filed properly

  • Proactively staying abreast of system changes and company guidelines

  • Performing other specific duties as directed by the AE

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • High School graduate required; College courses preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive, independent work ethic with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude

  • Ability to work in dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions

  • Highly organized and able to structure day based on deadlines and pending items

  • Self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Strong organization skills, with a high level of detail orientation

Work Location:

This position is located in our Bellaire, TX office and requires 3 days in the office.

Salary Transparency:

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HAS and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, personal, floating holidays and company holidays. In addition, eligible annual bonuses, equity and commissions may be available for some positions.
