We are looking for an Associate Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits team on a Hybrid work schedule.

 General Purpose

Support EB Account Executives in coordination of projects and interfacing with clients and carriers to ensure exceptional customer service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist Account Executive staff with daily client management issues.

  • Perform account maintenance including updates to client files, scanning and attachment of plan documents, Benefit Point, etc.

  • Assists in the resolution of common account issues, i.e., claim, policy, eligibility, and service issues.

  • Request, track, and upload Schedule A’s for client 5500 filings.

  • Preparation of Annual Notice packets for clients.

  • Learn benefit and census gathering/sorting for marketing, stewardship, persona, smart view reports.

  • Assists with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparation.

  • Revise/Edit and bind presentation materials as needed.

  • Prepare open enrollment materials (C&D benefit guides, benefit spot mobile app, presentation, obtaining carrier collaterals).

  • Develops and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients.

  • Maintains Benefit Portals e.g. TouchCare, Employee Navigator, etc.…

  • Assist Client and Account Executives utilizing MyWave.

  • Performs other administrative functions as needed by Account Executive staff.

Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Required

  • At least 1-2 years’ of prior office experience.  Experience with an employee benefits brokerage, in a corporate HR/Benefits role or with an Insurance company preferred.

  • Must have a current Health and Life license for the state of NY

  • 4-year college degree a plus.

  • Basic analytical & problem-solving skills.

  • Good verbal and written communications skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Computer literate – Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, MicroSoft.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Accurate and high attention to detail.

  • Able to work independently and with a sense of urgency.

  • Able to work well in a team environment.

 

While learning and performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time (ie seminars, meetings, etc.); the employee must be able to possibly, occasionally, lift and/or move up to 5 pounds (office supplies and paper) and assist in the clean-up/straightening of Conference Room prior to or after EB meetings.

Complexity & Scope

  • Supports various levels of Account Executive teams and Producers with managing accounts.

  • Manages low complexity account issues.

  • May interface with clients and carriers after obtaining a Life & Health license.

  • Ensure compliance with all operating controls as spelled out in the HUB Quality Control Procedure Manual

The expected salary range for this position is $38.46/hr - $42.58/hr and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages: health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
