Description

The Asset Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the company's power plants following the completion of the construction phase. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that electricity generation targets are achieved through operational optimization, engineering oversight, and effective cost management. The position combines engineering, managerial, and commercial responsibilities, requiring the ability to work independently while leading and coordinating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Engineering & Operations Management – Monitor power plant performance, oversee technical systems, identify faults, analyze operational issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Planning & Performance Control – Develop annual and multi-year work plans, monitor execution against targets, and prepare performance reports and advanced operational analyses.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management – Lead and manage service providers, including contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Negotiate contracts, evaluate work quality, and ensure compliance with project schedules and budgets.
  • Financial Management – Oversee site operating budgets and cash flow, manage financing agreements, monitor compliance with financial covenants, and review and approve supplier invoices.
  • Risk & Infrastructure Management – Oversee insurance policies and guarantees, safety programs, power plant security, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management – Maintain ongoing relationships with business partners, government authorities, and regulatory agencies; prepare management presentations and status reports; and coordinate activities across internal departments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (relevant discipline), Industrial Engineering and Management, Project Management, Economics, or Law – required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management and asset operations – required.
  • Proven experience in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, or energy storage) – a significant advantage.
  • Strong engineering aptitude and the ability to understand complex technical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, oversee contractors, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel – required; experience with SAP – an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (spoken, written, and reading) – required; proficiency in Spanish and/or Italian – an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Skills Required
