About the Team:

Our Asset Maintenance Team plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and enhancing the longevity and efficiency of our assets. Through dedicated maintenance and proactive strategies, we aim to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. We take pride in our problem-solving approach, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence. In this environment, teamwork drives innovation, professional development is supported, and each contribution is valued in shaping the future of manufacturing.

About the Role:

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of machinery, including CNC machines, circumferential stir welders, EDM machines, ultrasonic tanks, and other advanced manufacturing equipment.
  • Utilize technical documentation, schematics, and hands-on troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
  • Support daily Asset Maintenance execution by helping coordinate technician workflow, prioritize tasks, and align work based on production needs, equipment availability, labor coverage, and urgency.
  • Serve as a hands-on Asset Maintenance Technician while also acting as a shift-level mentor, resource, and first point of contact for operational questions and workflow escalations.
  • Help maintain shift coverage, communicate daily priorities, and escalate blockers, safety concerns, equipment issues, or resource constraints to leadership as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address equipment issues, reduce downtime, and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new equipment while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Support the execution of preventive maintenance schedules and help ensure maintenance activities are completed accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Track maintenance activity, equipment status, and recurring issues through appropriate systems, including CMMS or similar tracking tools.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, shift execution, troubleshooting consistency, equipment uptime, and overall team performance.
  • Provide informal coaching, real-time support, and day-to-day guidance to team members to help improve execution, consistency, and technical capability across the shift.
  • Support KPIs and operational metrics related to equipment uptime, response time, preventive maintenance completion, safety, and maintenance execution.

This is a 2nd shift position with a standard schedule of 3:00PM-1:30AM, Monday through Friday, with a 10% differential on top of the base rate. Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals.

About You:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related technical field, preferably within advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or high-volume production environments.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capability, including experience with PLCs, motors, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine control systems.
  • Experience supporting, maintaining, or repairing CNC machines, automation systems, or other complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while also helping coordinate and support the work of others during shift execution.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly share priorities, escalate issues, and support cross-functional alignment with production and maintenance leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to support team members through informal coaching, troubleshooting guidance, and real-time problem solving.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and manufacturing maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to operate with urgency, ownership, and sound judgment in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on technical execution with shift-level coordination responsibilities.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience with advanced automation systems, robotics, or highly integrated manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking, work order management, and reporting.
  • Background in vibration analysis, thermal imaging, predictive maintenance, or reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Prior experience as a shift lead, team lead, senior technician, or informal technical mentor.
  • Experience supporting maintenance operations in aerospace, automotive, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

The pay for the Shift Lead position is a $2.50 differential added on to your existing compensate rate. The listed pay range is for a Tech II, not including the differential.
