The Assessments Data Scientist supports SOCPAC SOJ54 initiatives by developing and implementing AI/ML-enabled capabilities to enhance operational planning and decision-making. This role focuses on transforming operational requirements into data-driven solutions through advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data visualization tools. The position operates within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, integrating technical expertise with mission-focused problem solving to support Department of Defense priorities. Secret Clearance required, must be able to obtain TS/SCI
This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
This position is working onsite in Aiea, Hawaii.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and document technical data solutions that translate operational requirements into data-driven capabilities.
- Build, train, and implement machine learning and predictive models to support operational planning and analysis.
- Formulate and execute end-to-end data modeling processes, including data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and delivery of analytical outputs.
- Structure and preprocess datasets to extract actionable insights and prepare data for modeling and visualization.
- Develop analytical dashboards and visualization tools to support decision-making and communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including planners, operators, and technical teams, to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with development and implementation of machine learning (ML) models.
- Basic proficiency in mathematics and statistics.
- Experience with general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
- Skilled in data manipulation, processing, and analysis.
- Familiarity with building secure software using modern security principles.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in big data analysis and data-driven solution development.
- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (U.S. citizenship required).
