Main Responsibilities
- Spearheading the launch of cutting-edge products on our assembly lines, leveraging Deere's EPDP methodology to drive innovation.
- Teaming up with various subprocesses to fine-tune product design and streamline lean manufacturing processes.
- Committed to meet project and factory targets across safety, quality, delivery, and cost at every stage of our product journey.
- As an assembly process manufacturing engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing production lines and ensuring efficiency.
Major Duties
- Deep understanding of various manufacturing techniques and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD or Creo Parametric for designing and modeling.
- Knowledge of lean principles to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
- Experience with automated systems to improve assembly efficiency.
- Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) or has experience managing similar methodologies.
- Root Cause Analysis: Ability to identify and resolve issues in the assembly process.
- Troubleshooting: Skills in diagnosing problems with machinery and processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail to ensure precision in processes and designs.
- Planning and Organization: Skills in managing timelines, resources, and project goals.
- Fluent in English.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Previous experience in similar role.
- Experience with manufacturing and quality concepts such as line design, tooling design, PFMEA, PLQP, control plan.
- Familiar with several key SAP modules to effectively manage and optimize production processes and EPDP workflows.
- Experience using data analytics tools and software.
- Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process. Develops, tracks and meets capital and expense budget for area of responsibility.
- Understanding of various processes such as supply management, process engineering, quality engineering, customer support, etc.
Education
- Bachelor of science degree; mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or equivalent.
