POSITION SUMMARY
This role is responsible for overseeing operations within a designated manufacturing zone, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to drive performance and continuous improvement across the assigned area.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the area.
· Manage nightly operations within a specific production area, ensuring output meets quality and efficiency goals.
· Lead and supervise area personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
· Monitor production metrics such as throughput, downtime, and defect rates; implement corrective actions as needed.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, logistics) to resolve issues and optimize workflow.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
· Report area performance to senior production leadership and contribute to broader operational planning.
· All other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to read and interpret diagrams, BOMs, and instructions
· Strong leadership and team-building skills.
· Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.
· Solid understanding of quality control, safety standards, and lean methodologies.
· Must be able to maintain a safe working environment
· Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems as they arise
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
· Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
· 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Electrical Journeyman's license or at least 5 years of commercial electrical construction experience
- At least 5 years of general management experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Ability to work on-site and maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Ability to supervise 15 to 25 non-exempt employees
- Personal computer skills, including email, record keeping, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, specifications, blueprints, and electrical diagrams
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
