Description
DRS RADA Technologies, a leading defense company developing and manufacturing life-saving radar systems, is seeking an Assembly Lead for its Beit She’an manufacturing facility.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of assembly teams on the production floor, ensuring production, quality, and delivery targets are achieved while driving continuous process improvement in accordance with company procedures and strict industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the assembly line and lead production teams to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.
- Supervise, motivate, train, and mentor production employees, including onboarding and developing new team members.
- Monitor product quality and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning & Control (PP&C), Quality Assurance, and Logistics teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and technical issues in real time to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and defense industry quality and manufacturing standards.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and drive operational efficiency improvements.
- Play a key role in a technologically advanced manufacturing environment within the defense industry.
- Company transportation is available from Beit She’an, Afula, Tiberias, Migdal HaEmek, and Nof HaGalil.
- Previous experience managing production or assembly teams in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience in the defense or high-tech manufacturing industry is an advantage.
- Technical or engineering education. A Practical Engineer (Engineering Technician) or Technician qualification is a significant advantage.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Good technical English reading and comprehension skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
