Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automotive SPICE SWE.5 Process Owner to lead Software Component Verification and Software Integration Verification activities for Automotive Connectivity programs. The role is responsible for defining, implementing, governing, and continuously improving the SWE.5 process to achieve Automotive SPICE PAM 4.0 Capability Level 2 (CL2) compliance.

The Process Owner will work closely with software architects, development teams, integration teams, quality teams, and assessors to ensure all SWE.5 activities, work products, and objective evidence meet Automotive SPICE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Process Ownership

  • Own and govern the Automotive SPICE SWE.5 process across assigned programs.
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve Software Component Verification and Software Integration Verification processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HARMAN engineering processes, Automotive SPICE PAM 4.0, and customer requirements.
  • Establish process guidelines, templates, checklists, and best practices.

Planning & Governance

  • Define Software Integration Strategy and Integration Plans.
  • Review and approve Software Component Verification Specifications and Integration Verification Specifications.
  • Define verification measures, acceptance criteria, entry/exit criteria, and regression verification strategy.
  • Monitor process adherence and ensure all deliverables meet quality expectations.

Technical Leadership

  • Guide engineering teams on software integration, verification planning, and execution.
  • Ensure software integration follows the approved software architecture.
  • Review verification evidence, defect reports, regression results, and quality metrics.
  • Support technical reviews and release readiness reviews.

Automotive SPICE Compliance

  • Lead SWE.5 implementation for Automotive SPICE PAM 4.0 Capability Level 2.
  • Prepare assessment-ready work products and objective evidence.
  • Lead internal mock assessments and support external Automotive SPICE assessments.
  • Address assessment findings and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Traceability & Quality

  • Ensure bidirectional traceability between:
    • Verification measures and Software Architecture
    • Verification measures and Detailed Design
    • Verification Results and Verification Measures
  • Monitor process KPIs, quality metrics, defect trends, and regression coverage.
  • Drive continuous process improvements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Software Architects, Development Leads, Test Leads, Functional Safety teams, and Project Managers.
  • Present process status, risks, compliance metrics, and assessment readiness to leadership.
  • Mentor engineers on Automotive SPICE SWE.5 processes and best practices.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Automotive Software Development, Integration, or Verification.
  • Strong expertise in Automotive SPICE PAM 4.0, especially SWE.5 Software Component Verification and Integration Verification.
  • Experience serving as an Automotive SPICE Process Owner, Process Lead, or Assessment Coordinator.
  • Strong understanding of Software Architecture and Software Design.
  • Experience defining verification strategies, integration plans, and quality processes.
  • Experience with ALM and Requirements Management tools such as IBM DOORS, Codebeamer, Polarion, or Jama.
  • Experience with defect management and traceability tools.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Automotive SPICE Assessor, Competent Assessor, or Principal Assessor certification.
  • Experience in Automotive Connectivity, Infotainment, Telematics, or Embedded Systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, UDS, DoIP, and automotive communication protocols.
  • Experience with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
