He / She operates facility support systems, logging complaints, facilitating internal office moves, takes care of office equipment (printers, etc.), handles repairs (self or retaining contractor services) and oversees various maintenance and repair services. May also conduct and maintain building inventories, schedule and prepare meeting rooms or other facilities. In short, the role is the handyman of the building or plant.

Job Description:

Office support:

o Carries out office / building support activities such as office maintenance, post-room activities, management of office supplies, etc

o Assists with internal moves, moving desks and other office furniture and other material around

o Prepares meeting rooms and other venues for meetings, official rallies and other occasions 

Maintenance & repair:

o Carries out maintenance and repair services, to the building and various items like office furniture, in offices and meeting rooms and to equipment;

activities may include small scale plumbing repairs, repairing damages, machine servicing or electrical servicing. 

o Performs preventive maintenance tasks in order to avoid or reduce breakdowns (by regularly checking and cleaning materials or equipment).

Other duties:

o Works according to established procedures, manuals and checklists, and maintains these in order to keep them up-to-date

o Regularly reviews practices and procedures and makes recommendations to more senior facilities management staff.

o May perform other duties and activities, as directed.
