Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ASIC/SoC Design Verification Engineer to ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of our designs through rigorous verification processes. This role requires expertise in both hardware and software systems and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Essential Functions:

• Work with design engineers and architects to define, document, and implement detailed test plans for ASIC/SoC design verification.

• Build and maintain infrastructure for automated verification of ASIC/SoC architecture, functionality, and performance.

• Develop reusable testbenches, constrained-random and directed test cases, and verification modules for both block and system levels.

• Establish regression strategies, methodologies, and tools, define functional coverage metrics, and close verification gaps to meet design release and tape-out goals.

• Collaborate closely with design engineers to debug and identify root causes of simulation failures.

• Support test engineers in post-silicon validation, ensuring design functionality.

• Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise to promote best practices and verification efficiency across the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 3+ years in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Expertise in Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)/Open Verification Methodology (OVM), semiformal verification, assertion-based verification, and hardware/software co-verification methodologies.

• Extensive experience in building verification infrastructure, test planning, coverage closure, and developing testbenches and test cases for functional and performance verification.

• Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, Python, Perl, TCL, Shell scripting, C/C++, System C, and assembly coding for mainstream Instruction Set Architectures (ISAs).

• Familiarity with MIPI, Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) (APB/AHB/AXI) protocols, RISC-V/ARM or DSP cores.

• Experience with RTL-level and post-Place and Route (P&R) gate-level verification.

• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to a startup environment, and the capacity to provide technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) computing, graphics processing units (GPU), image signal processor (ISP) architectures, and accelerators.

• Experience in verifying mixed-signal designs and digital-analog interfaces.

• Familiarity with high-speed I/O design verification such as PCIe and DDR.
