- Create and input accurate metadata for digitized items in our digital database.
- Collaborate with archival staff to maintain records and ensure data accuracy in the database.
- Perform quality control checks on digitized files to ensure the integrity of digital assets.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for digital preservation and metadata management.
- Provide support for special projects as needed.
- Currently pursuing (preference to students with multiple courses completed) or recently completed a degree in archival studies, library science, history, information management, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of audio and video formats, including VHS, audio cassettes, and 8mm film is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and handle archival materials (up to 50 lbs.) with care and attention to preservation needs.
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional archival environment.
