This role supports a broad range of engineering and DevOps activities within the Chef ecosystem. The position includes partnering with application teams to enable large-scale adoption of the Chef product, providing guidance in developing cookbooks using Ruby DSL, and contributing to ecosystem-wide automation initiatives. The engineer will build, enhance, and maintain automation solutions leveraging github actions, k8s, PostgreSql and Python-based API frameworks, ensuring reliability and scalability across environments
In addition to backend automation and orchestration, the role will also contribute to integrating backend services with front-end user interfaces built in ReactJS, supporting full-stack workflow enablement where needed
This role requires solid Python skills to develop scalable software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver robust applications and automation pipelines that meet organizational standards. Experience with generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot is also needed to speed up development
Primary Responsibility:

Required Qualifications:
- Good Experience on Python programming
- Working experience on Django/fastAPI applications
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and related frameworks (such as React or Angular)
- Experience in using Generative AI tools for software development
- Knowledge on Github actions
- Knowledge about chef/ansible
- Proven e xposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
