Pay Rate: $27-$30.50/Hour
Hours: 36.25 Hours/Week, Full Time, Hybrid
After 90 days - 1 Day/Week remote or 4 day work week!
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting
- Process AP, AR, receipts, and journal entries using accounting software
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow
- Complete month-end/year-end journal entries
- Prepare financial reports and ensure GAAP and organizational compliance
Financial Support
- Assist bookkeepers and administrators with reports and issue resolution
- Review bank reconciliations and monitor cash before check runs
- Process ACH and Positive Pay transactions
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare audit schedules and financial statements
- Analyze accounts and review AP, AR, and payroll activity
- Support budget and financial performance reporting
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage vendor setup and 1099 preparation
- Train new bookkeeping staff and provide backup support
- Improve accounting processes and policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-location accounting operations
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles
- Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management
- Previous experience in training and mentoring staff
