An apprenticeship opportunity titled : « Software/System Engineer - Apprenticeship » has just opened at Airbus India located in Bangalore. You will join the "Digital Infrastructure & Platform" department
This is a 12-month program and it should start in [July/2026] (date subject to flexibility).

Role Description:

One key component of this Digital Transformation is the implementation of solutions to enable the data-value chain in Airbus and its Division and to make the best use of Data in Airbus, whether to optimize our business processes or to create new business values via data monetization
Airbus in Bangalore has been expanding its digital footprint significantly, and an apprenticeship in Digital Infrastructure & Platforms team is a prime way to get hands-on with enterprise-grade aerospace technology
The successful candidate will assess and understand business needs and translate such into IT solutions.

You are a Fresh Graduate (Technical Under Graduate or Post Graduate) in [Computer Science].
Zero Work Experience: This program is exclusively for candidates with no prior full-time professional work experience. (Internships and academic projects are excluded from this and are welcome).
Commitment: Ability to commit to the full 12-month duration of the apprenticeship.

Engineering graduate/post-graduate
Working closely with Leads/Product Owner to analyze, assess and understand business needs and translate such into IT solutions
Maintaining infrastructure platforms & applications via high-available, scalable, secured, monitored systems and services
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience in Java, dotNet, Scripting, Python etc.
Basic Knowledge about Incident, Problem, Change Management and Knowledge Management would be good to have
High level of energy, strong drive & ability to adjust to changing priorities.
High Customer focus and proactive stakeholder management.
Experience/Understanding with designing and implementing CI/CD and Pipelines will be added advantage
Experience/Understanding on the API , Integrations etc
Experience/Understanding on Linux or Unix environments
Others
Good to have knowledge on some of the following products/tools: required to support digital Infrastructure & application..
Knowledge on Debugging and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, identifying build failures, misconfigurations, or deployment issues across various environments.
Knowledge on Infraturesture platform or Applications
Responsibilities:
Perform root cause analysis for incidents & trend analysis for proactive measures
Report in Airbus defined template and fill all details
Autonomy with excellent communication skills to work in a multi-functional and distributed team
Provide accessibility and analysis RCA, L2, L3 support
Ability to work on the Service Now tool.
Excellent Communication skills- good interpersonal and influencing skills.
Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
Track issues through to resolution, within agreed timeline.
Talk clients through a series of actions, until resolution.
Provide accurate and prompt feedback to customers
Prioritise and manage several open issues at one time.
Documents technical knowledge in the form of Knowledge base articles.
Standardize the quality assurance procedures for software engineering, oversee testing and develop fixes.
