Position Summary:
TrendAI is seeking for an enthusiastic Applied AI Junior Front-End Developer to join our growing team and help us build the next generation of web applications for Trend Vision One. If you're a recent graduate or someone just starting their frontend journey with a curiosity about AI and a passion for creating amazing user experiences, we'd love to meet you!
A primary focus of this role is the adoption of AI-enabled development and implement agentic UI experience. You'll be stepping into an exciting role where cutting-edge AI meets modern front-end development. You'll be working alongside experienced developers who are eager to share their knowledge and guide you as you learn to leverage AI-powered development tools to build beautiful, functional interfaces that our customers will love.

Responsibilities:
Building Modern Web Applications: Working with guidance from senior developers, you'll help create modular micro-frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frameworks. You'll learn to convert designs into high-quality, reusable components that make our security tools both powerful and user-friendly.
Learning AI-Assisted Development: You'll get hands-on experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Kiro, and GitHub Copilot. We'll teach you how to use these tools ethically and effectively to accelerate your development process and help you write better code faster.
Agentic UI Architecture: Contribute to the evolution of our front-end systems with a keen interest in building for micro-frontend, web applications and agentic architectures.
Growing Your Testing Skills: Develop a test-driven mindset using frameworks like Cypress or Playwright. You'll learn how AI can help you write comprehensive tests and catch edge cases you might not have thought of on your own.
End-to-End Ownership: Develop ownership of tasks from start to finish. We believe in giving you real responsibility while ensuring you have the guidance you need to succeed.
Continuous Learning: You'll have opportunities for learning and improvement, to explore new AI tools, frontend technologies, and best practices. We encourage curiosity and experimentation!
Contributing to Team Knowledge: As you learn, you'll help document processes and share insights with the R&D team. Your fresh perspective as someone new to the field is valuable to us!
Qualifications:
React Experience: Hands-on experience with React and its ecosystem, or other modern frameworks or libraries (Astro, Next.js, D3, Sigmajs).
AI Tooling Proficiency: While you don't need to be an AI expert, it would be a great advantage if you had experience using AI tools to increase productivity and were willing to experiment with modern AI web technologies.
Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to tackling challenges and the resilience to work through problems when they arise.
Team Player Attitude: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. We value respect, openness, and the willingness to both teach and learn.
Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies, participate hackathon events, and the ability to adapt quickly in our fast-paced environment.
Technical Ecosystem: Skilled with modern front-end build tools (Vite, Webpack), linters, and package managers (npm/yarn).
Testing Mastery: Deep expertise in TDD and end-to-end test automation frameworks.
Cloud Awareness: Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and experience or interest in cloud services (AWS S3, CloudFront) and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK).
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a growth mindset.
Bonus:
Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS) or containerization (Docker)
Experience with any AI development tools or productivity enhancers
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects

The expected compensation for this position ranges from $76000 to $105000 CAD annually, based on experience and qualifications
