As a Senior Application Support Analyst at Citi, you will keep business-critical applications running smoothly for trading and business users while driving improvements in stability, efficiency and service quality. You will join a technology support team responsible for the day-to-day performance of Citi's applications, taking ownership of issue resolution, risk reconciliation and release support. Responsibilities
- Act as a senior application support analyst for Citi's trading and business users, resolving issues quickly to maintain system stability and performance.
- Maintain application systems and their operating environments, keeping quality and functionality aligned with service level expectations.
- Run start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring and regional handovers to maintain smooth operations around the clock.
- Perform same-day risk reconciliations and assess the impact of production issues, escalating promptly to business and technology management.
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues across supported applications and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
- Partner with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and shape tooling requirements.
- Support application releases from development through testing and deployment, then review results to confirm successful performance.
- Coach junior analysts and act as the key liaison between users, internal technology teams and vendors.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in an application support role, including installing, configuring or supporting business applications.
- Working knowledge of Unix and SQL, along with familiarity with programming languages and a willingness to build new technical skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate information from multiple sources.
- Experience using issue tracking, reporting and problem management tools.
- Ability to organize workload and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
