Provide specialized technical support and project quotation services for Franklin Electric’s & WDM water portfolios, serving as the primary technical resource for authorized distributors and the commercial team. The Applications Engineer is responsible for the correct selection, sizing, and component-level quotation of fire protection systems (ECI), constant pressure booster systems (surface and submersible), deep well pump systems and wastewater transfer applications, ensuring the company remains indispensable through the consistent delivery of Quality, Availability, Service, Innovation, and Cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support (hotline) to distributors, end users, contractors and the commercial team for product selection, troubleshooting, and application questions.
- Elaborate component-level project quotations for fire protection systems (ECI), constant pressure booster systems (surface and submersible, with and without VFDs), deep well pump systems, and wastewater transfer applications
- Support authorized distributors and the commercial team throughout the technical-commercial cycle, from equipment selection to quotation delivery
- Provide training on new and core products to distributors and end user technical teams
- Gather, document, and communicate relevant market intelligence and field learnings to the Technical Service & Applications team
- Behave in accordance with Franklin Electric values and professional conduct standards at all times
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of experience in related technical roles (mechanical or electrical equipment, pumps, motors, HVAC, or fluid systems). Experience is desirable but not mandatory; the right candidate with a strong aptitude and willingness to learn will receive full product training.
