Applications Engineer ll

Principal Accountabilities 

• Produce new software applications for our warehouse applications team. Evaluates progress and results of development efforts.  

• Execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. Analyzes and amends software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and participates in software upgrades, revisions, fixes, and patches as mandated by the vendor. 

• Develops browser-based applications to support warehouse processes. 

• Designs, develops, and documents specifications throughout the project life cycle.

Job Description: 

This position is responsible for demonstrating & providing technical skills to help support the strategy, architecture, design, implementation and support of IT Applications within Arrow’s facilities in Asia Pac. This role specifically addresses the actions associated with working with the business community to help them scale and to provide them business continuity from an application standpoint. You are the role is playing in Global IT team, you will be frequently communicate with global development team and push and pull the technical information and skill. Implement the new module to the business and conduct SQA before the system / module go-live. Formulate the IT transform and migration. Assist feasibility study and system assessment. Make use of your strong technical background to minimize the system potential risk. The person should contain result-oriented mind set and aim at launching the IT product/solution at the designed timeframe and be able to bring the process/system efficiency to the company. The candidate has to equip with strong communication skill, project management experience and programming skill and be able to understand all the relevant applications in the organization. On the other side, the candidate need to fully understand the system’s new activity from the global IT team, to see the benefit to bring to APAC business. In term of this role is a part of global IT, you are required frequently communicate with global development team and push and pull the technical information and skill. 

Responsibilities 

• Monitor Systems: Keep an eye on applications and servers to ensure they run smoothly. 

• Fix Issues: Identify and resolve technical problems quickly. 

• Development: Requirements or issue fixes requiring coding 

• Support Users: Help users with their technical queries and concerns. 

• Collaborate with Teams: Work with other teams to solve issues and improve systems. 

• Document Work: Record incidents, solutions, and processes for future reference. 

• Ensure Security: Follow IT policies and maintain system security. 

Requirement 

• Typically requires 3-4 years of related experience with a degree; or equivalent work experience. Less experience will be considered. 

• Excellent Analytical skills to understand and replicate the issue/bug and fix accordingly 

• Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL 

• Excellent knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports 

• Can work independently 

• Ability to working in multiple culture and complex structure environment 

• Knowledge in Logistics and warehouse are preferred 

• Good English communication is a must and be able to work in overseas time zone occasionally
