Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Applications Analyst I based at our Greenville, NC location. 

  

What you will do: 

  • Collaborate with emerging technology stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, document processes, and outline dataflows for software development projects. 

  • Conduct discovery sessions with users and stakeholders, document requirements, and work closely with developers to test and provide feedback. 

  • Utilize SQL to query databases for reporting, research, and to support business needs. 

  • Create and maintain reports using Smartsheet and PowerBI to support internal analytics and decision-making processes. 

  • Write functional specifications to guide software development and ensure alignment with business requirements.

What you will need: 

  • Associate degree in Business, Statistics, Analytics, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

  • 2-3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business, Technology, or a related field. 

 

Skills, Experience & Abilities  

  • Strong understanding of basic analytics processes, mathematics, and statistics. Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus. 

  • Proficiency in SQL and intermediate-level Excel skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.
