ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Applications Administrator / IT Business Partner (ITBP) is responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise technology applications while partnering with business functions to align technology capabilities with organizational strategy and operational priorities. This role reports to the Executive Director of IT and serves as both a technical application administrator and a strategic liaison between the IT organization and business stakeholders/operations.
In this capacity, the role ensures enterprise applications are effectively implemented, configured, maintained, and supported while also identifying opportunities for technology-driven improvements across the organization. The ITBP works collaboratively with stakeholders to translate business needs into technology solutions, ensuring systems, platforms, and digital initiatives deliver measurable value to the organization.
Application Management
- Oversee implementation, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications, platforms, and other business systems related to the Commercial organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to configure and customize applications to meet evolving business requirements.
- Manage and maintain SharePoint sites and implement platform changes to support the entire organization.
- Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Partner with IT teams and external vendors to support integrations between enterprise systems and third-party solutions.
IT Business Partnership & Strategic Alignment
- Serve as an Information Technology Business Partner (ITBP) across the organization, aligning technology capabilities with business strategy and operational priorities.
- Support strategic planning and technology roadmap development to ensure IT capabilities advance organizational growth and transformation. Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between functional leaders and the head of IT, fostering discovery and collaboration to align technology initiatives with enterprise objectives and Kura’s 2030 Vision.
- Develop a deep understanding of organizational objectives, operational challenges, and emerging needs to translate them into scalable technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities for digital enablement, automation, and process optimization.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, functional stakeholders, and external partners to deliver effective technology solutions.
- Advocate for business priorities within IT governance frameworks while ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture standards.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate project scoping, requirements gathering, and solution design in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop user requirements, SOPs, and operational processes for supported systems.
- Plan and execute assigned projects while monitoring progress and communicating status updates to leadership.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and implementation activities to support system changes and enhancements.
User Support & Training
- Provide functional and technical support for enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve user inquiries.
- Develop and deliver training sessions, user documentation, and best practice guidance to improve system adoption.
Data & System Governance
- Manage system security including user access, roles, and permissions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across enterprise systems.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, SOX, GxP, and regulatory requirements.
- Support system documentation, validation, and audit readiness activities.
Vendor & Service Management
- Serve as a primary contact for application vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate vendor support, issue escalation, and service level management.
- Collaborate with vendors and consulting partners to deliver system enhancements and upgrades.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and digital solutions that support organizational objectives.
- Participate in innovation initiatives and pilot programs to enhance enterprise technology capabilities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or business discipline required.
- A minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in management positions

The base range for this role is $165,000 - $195,000. Individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including, and without limitation, job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training. Kura's compensation package also includes generous benefits, equity, and participation in an annual target bonus.
