Overview
As an IT Application Support Engineer, you will manage the maintenance, development, and implementation of applications hosted on Windows and Red Hat platforms. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring system stability and seamless integration with downstream systems.
Responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Support:
Oversee the health of applications and their interfaces with downstream systems.
Perform incident and problem troubleshooting, ensuring swift resolution according to SOPs and industry best practices.
Analysis & Design:
Participate in user requirement studies and system design phases.
Assist users in interpreting complex requirements and documenting business specifications.
Technical Collaboration:
Liaise with PMO, technical SMEs, and infrastructure teams to develop robust technical solutions.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Leadership Support:
Work closely with the Team Lead to plan, coordinate, and execute application development and production support activities.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
Degree in Computer Science & Information Technology
> 4 years of experience in IT Enterprise Applications related functions – development & support in financial environment.
Experience in application server clustering, performance tuning and testing.
Experience working and administering Redhat platform.
Experience with databases like Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL.
Special Skills:
Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java.
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experiences in handling eStatement system will be an added advantage.
In depth understanding of framework design and architecture
Ability to articulate issue & capable of providing long term solution with short term mitigation plan
