Application Support Engineer (full-time, multiple openings) needed in Oakland, CA to resolve complex issues involving Gensler proprietary products and vendor-based integrated applications. Use appropriate resources to report, troubleshoot, diagnose and escalate incidents and requests as needed. Collaborate with Data Platform and IT teams to provide solutions to the customer's problems and work closely with IT, QA, Reporting and PMO teams. Analyze data, log files, Event Logs, thread dumps. Reproduce customer issues, including setting up and configuring runtime environments. Identify and document product defects for review and report those to QA and Development teams or Vendors. Maintaining a knowledge base of known issues and solutions by each application.
Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT work experience with all of the following:
(1) PowerShell scripting, Azure cloud platform, SQL, Windows and Linux Server environments, ETL tools, including SnapLogic, Azure Data Factory, SSRS, Tableau, and Alteryx;
(2) Using Fork and SourceTree clients to interact with GitHub version control;
(3) Using Skybot and Jenkins automation tools to schedule jobs and deployments;
(4) Validating, troubleshooting, and resolving data, process, and performance issues using SnapLogic, SSIS, QuerySurge, and Azure Data Studio;
(5) GitHub integration and code management;
(6) Jenkins integration and server management;
(7) Programming PowerShell, Python, and Groovy, and debugging issues related to SnapLogic, Azure Data Factory, and Tableau;
(8) Python scripting; AND
(9) Code migration and SQL Scripting with SQL Server.
In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree IT work experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree IT work experience must include experience with all of the following:
(1) PowerShell scripting, Azure cloud platform, SQL, Windows and Linux Server environments, ETL tools, including SnapLogic, Azure Data Factory, SSRS, Tableau, and Alteryx;
(2) Using Fork and SourceTree clients to interact with GitHub version control;
(3) Using Skybot and Jenkins automation tools to schedule jobs and deployments;
(4) Validating, troubleshooting, and resolving data, process, and performance issues using SnapLogic, SSIS, QuerySurge, and Azure Data Studio;
(5) GitHub integration and code management;
(6) Jenkins integration and server management;
(7) Programming PowerShell, Python, and Groovy, and debugging issues related to SnapLogic, Azure Data Factory, and Tableau;
(8) Python scripting; AND

All experience may be acquired concurrently. Incidental telecommuting may apply.
The base salary range is $168,397.00 to $170,000.00, commensurate with relevant experience. In addition, standard benefits will be offered, and employees will be eligible for bonuses.
