Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $89,000.00 - $119,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

Seeking technical professionals with strong Azure Databricks experiences. This role is instrumental to the success of transformation of our Enterprise Data Strategy in modernizing our Enterprise Data Warehouse to enable bringing together data at any scale easily, and to get insights through analytical dashboards, operational reports, or advanced analytics.

Essential Functions

• Mentor, share skills, knowledge, and expertise within team and across the IT organization

• Independently provide technical support for application issues and outages, which includes interfacing with development teams and vendors via established problem tracking processes to report, track, and resolve issues within the application

• Advanced at monitoring the on-going reporting of end user issues according to IT service level expectations resolving when possible and escalating / involving others when direct resolution is not possible

• Advanced at maintaining and renewing security certificates and providing the IT response for environmental security vulnerabilities

• Advanced at managing the creation and support of job scheduling functions required for the application

• Advanced at creating custom reports using report writing tools, that enhance the ability to support the application or extend the feature set of the base application

• Advanced at supporting application installation, configuration, and progression through multiple environments.

• Advanced at managing the creation and implementation of environmental and application alerts

• Advanced at preparing environments for testing of new code releases and support testing activity through operational validation manually and with automated testing tools

• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Advanced understanding of common application runtimes including Java, Tomcat, , Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks workspace and runtime or others as appropriate

• Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services, including AKS, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks,

• Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies and tools.

• Solid scripting and development skills, with expertise in Python and Java.

• Experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure.

• Advanced troubleshooting skills

• Advanced understanding of modern technology and ability to have a technical conversation about an issue, request or recommendation

• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required

• 5+ years application support or equivalent experience required

• 3+ years experience in Agile methodologies preferred

• 2+ years experience with DevOps and Azure preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $89,000 to $119,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will respond to meeting performance goals.
