General Information:
Hitachi Energy Transformers- Business Solutions IT Organization is seeking a Application Specialist who will provide overall support to the Global BST IT team to drive value and business growth to the business for South Boston VA Location.
Your Responsibilities:
- Involved in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT solutions/services where application knowledge is needed.
- Application and software design, in order to provide product solutions for specific business needs • Identify, propose, advise and implement existing IT application technology and IT solutions/services, sharing knowledge and -depending on seniority - guiding others on implementation and operation, using understanding of existing IT application technology and business requirements.
- Manage/ support the entire process of building applications, from the design process, to creating, testing and rolling out the application
- Design a product solution in line with specifications given by Solution Architect, Application Manager and business users
- Implement application and provide support services for users
- Provide trainings for the business users

Your Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in IT Applications Management and Service Delivery in multinational companies
- Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business management
- Experience in one or more coding languages (e.g. VB.Net, C#, MS SQL, HTML, JavaScript)
- Experience with development platforms (e.g. Azure, Visual Studio + DevOps. Microsoft Power Apps, GitHub)
- Experience with functional domain where the application belongs to. (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales)
- Understanding of software development lifecycles
- Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.
- Exceptional analytical abilities for navigating intricate data structures.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management.
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes from Sales to Manufacturing.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
