About the Role

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist – Flow Cytometry to support our expanding customer base across Algeria and the broader North West Africa region. This role is critical in enabling laboratories, hospitals, research centers, and private institutions to fully leverage our advanced flow cytometry platforms, reagents, and solutions.

As the scientific and technical expert for DxFLEX, CytoFLEX, Aquios, Navios, and the full flow cytometry portfolio, you will deliver best-in-class training, onboarding, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting. You will play a key role in driving customer success, ensuring strong product adoption, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

This is a field-based position requiring frequent customer visits, onsite support, and close alignment with sales, service, and regional application teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support & Training
  • Deliver high-quality onsite and remote training on Beckman Coulter flow cytometry instruments (CytoFLEX, Navios, Aquios) and reagent panels.

  • Conduct workflow assessments and provide optimization recommendations to improve data quality and laboratory efficiency.

  • Lead customer onboarding, instrument start-ups, verifications, and validation protocols.

  • Provide scientific support on experimental setup, multicolor panel design, gating strategies, and data interpretation.

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting
  • Serve as the cytometry application expert, supporting customers with advanced troubleshooting in partnership with Field Service Engineers (FSE).

  • Support complaint handling, root-cause investigations, and technical escalations.

  • Maintain deep, up-to-date scientific knowledge in immunology, hematology, and cell biology relevant to cytometry workflows.

Commercial Support
  • Partner with sales teams to support product demonstrations, evaluations, seminars, workshops, and KOL engagement.

  • Deliver scientific presentations and participate in conferences, exhibitions, and educational events.

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales application support to accelerate product adoption and strengthen customer relationships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with MEA regional application teams, marketing, and global product managers.

  • Document customer interactions and activities in CRM tools.

  • Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to support continuous improvement and strategic planning.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

  • Advanced scientific training in flow cytometry is a strong advantage.

Experience
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with flow cytometry platforms (Beckman Coulter, BD, or similar).

  • Practical experience in multicolor panel design, gating, compensation, and instrument setup.

  • Prior applications, technical support, or field-based support experience is preferred but not required.

Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of cell analysis, fluorochromes, antibody markers, and compensation principles.

  • Proficiency in cytometry software (Kaluza, CytExpert, FlowJo, Navios Software).

  • Ability to troubleshoot sample preparation, staining workflows, acquisition parameters, and data analysis issues.

Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English; Arabic is an advantage.

  • Strong presentation, training, and customer engagement capabilities.

  • Problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and strong scientific curiosity.

  • Ability to travel frequently across North West Africa.
