This position will be remote or hybrid out of our Springfield, IL, Dallas, TX or Madison, WI office.
Pay Range:$50,100.00 - $78,800.00
Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
The Application Quality Analyst/Engineer-Experienced is a mid-level role, capable of operating autonomously on multiple testing and maintenance activities, including some test design.
- Carry out procedures to ensure that all information technology solutions and services meet company quality standards and user requirements.
- Design and execute test plans, manual and automated test scripts, and test cases based on project requirements and objectives
- Perform system, integration, function, data validation, and performance testing as well as facilitate user acceptance testing
- Utilize test automation tools and scripts, where feasible, to streamline test cycle execution.
- Estimate and plan for development of test automation framework.
- Create automated tests for functional/GUI validation of company products and related components.
- Ability to grasp business and technical processes analytically/strategically.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and business users to ensure requirements and development align to meet stakeholder needs.
- Contributes to efforts to improve solution reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes.
- Ensure traceability between requirements and testing.
- Provides feedback and guidance to less experienced staff.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in a technology or engineering field, or equivalent experience
- Effective written and verbal communications in a professional manner to management, business partners, associates, and external resources.
- 5+ years software testing experience
- Advanced knowledge of test automation and test management tools.
- Works with others, provides feedback and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of software development life cycle and project life cycle principles, including both Agile and Waterfall.
- QA professional certification (ISTQB, QAI)
- Insurance domain knowledge strongly preferred
